For total medals in World Cup events: other countries lead, and those events are more statistically accurate because they happen each year.

Canadian pride is not polite. Being a Canadian, I REGULARLY witness what I call the "Canadian superiority complex": Many Canadians think that Canada is so much better than the US in every way (be it our legendary "free healthcare", hockey, whatever). The War of 1812 is a great example. It was more of a stalemate (granted, Canada did defend itself) but its lauded as this "Great Canadian victory over the United States". There's always this Us vs. Them mentality.

As far as "letting you enjoy this victory", I think that comes from the fact that, before this game, the average American gave a shit about hockey (I'm not saying that's you as you obviously know something about hockey). Now that USA won a game against Canada it's "OH YEAH! USA! I BELIEVE! THIS IS OUR YEAR!" (As if beating Canada means automatic gold?). If USA had lost that game, all these bandwagon jumpers would just have been saying "Whatever, of course Canada won".

The pebbles put on the curling ice are not stone pebbles lol. They spray drops of water on the ice before the game and it freezes into little beads of ice that they call pebbles. Because the ice has these small bumps, it makes the rocks slow down faster. As the curlers sweep (or broom lol) the ice pebbles get worn down and the ice gets slicker. The faster they sweep, the more slick the ice gets. When the ice is slicker, the rocks go further and straighter and that is why they sweep. Also, because of this the ice runs slower at the start of the game and faster at the end after the sweeping and rocks have worn down the pebbles.

Agreed. It also depends on the type of lesbian porn. There's pornography that's geared for the lesbian market, and it is so rough that to appreciate it, you have to have part of that in your orientation. (Very butch girls doing very rough sex with strap-ons, and so on).
