As for the Oscars, I have no faith in them. Most of the awards are given based on guilt or sympathy or money. Ooh, Slumdog Millionaire makes us feel bad for the little people, even though the movie is pure shit. Award. Ooh, Heath Ledger died, even though his performance was shit and his death was self-inflicted. Award. Ooh, Titanic was a cinematic masterpiece, even though it had horribly cliche dialogue, long periods of fodder for gopee.com, and music that would kill a dog. Award.
I don't know. Maybe I don't like what everybody else likes. Of the last 10 winners of "Best Picture", I thought they were all shit. The last Lord of the Rings, I sort-of liked, but not enough to say it was "The Best".

Wether you like the movie or not, calling Ledger's performance "pure shit" is just silly internet hatred. Of a pretty low level too.
Agreed that the Oscar are silly stuff and Slumdog is a dumb movie for dumb people. |

Dark Knight just plain sucked. Heath Ledger carried that retarded plot on his back. His Joker was the only good part. And in the end, instead of blaming the dead clown that had been killing people and terrorizing the city, they get the moronic idea to blame Batman for stuff because people want someone to blame besides Dent/Two-Face. It was like a lame cliff notes version of the Watchmen ending, reinterpreted by a retard.
I loved the first one, Batman Begins, and thought Bale did great in it. I have that one on dvd. In Dark Knight, Bale sucked. I've seen better acting in high school plays. The whole pseudo-moral crap with the cell phone tapping made me wonder if that fat bastard Moore was directing it. Iron Man came out earlier that year and was a MUCH better movie. For 2009, best picture of the year for me, the nominees are: Star Trek Zombieland Couples Retreat The Blind Side |

Ansur if we have to play "et's shit on movie the other's like" we can go on as much as you want.
Iron Man was pure shit. A dumb, badly directed, crapfest with RDJ playing himself disguised as a 3rd rate superhero. And it was boring too. Star Trek was silly nerd fodder, with a horrible cast and an unbearable shaky cam that made the bearing of the whole fake intellectual sci-fi stuff even more hard. Zombieland is a retarded version of Shawn of the Dead. Only without the humour and the scares. Watchmen is simply the worst comic book adaptation ever made. Style over substance, bad acting, cheesy, overlong, and spelled out. It made me notice the flaws of the graphic novel, and i have a hard time reading it now. Avatar was a shiny three hour playstation cut-scene with no meaning or no rewatching value. See, i can do that too, but who gives a shit? |
