Social "scientists" periodically conduct studies and find everyday people tend to give more lenient punishments to rapists based on victim's dress. The difference between our time and 30 years ago is the lawmakers recognized the fallacy of this and passed laws to help eliminate the use of "provocatively dressed" defenses in court.

You're right, the correct phrasing should have been:

Mel's clearly over the top with his rant, but I think we've all said things we wish we could take back during a heated arguement with a loved one. His past transgressions make it easy to jump to the defense of this poor damsel, but something tells me she can be a manipulative bitch.

Ahh well...he's toast and he can't blame anyone but himself. At least he gave the world "I hope you get raped by a gang of niggers" as the new trump card of things to say to your wife if you want to sleep on your couch for the next month.

This is one of the worst movies ever, I had to watch this on the last 2 days (yes 2 days) of school when I was in Jr.high, this is not a movie that a 12 year old boy wants to see,

Unless your a confederate sympathizer who thinks cousin fucking is just dandy this movie is a piece of shit and it only gets its reputation beacuse its old and must be good.

It's not good and I don't recommend anybody who's not really fucking bored watch it, but gone with the wind is referenced a lot because it was such an unbelievable hit when it came out. It basically set the stage for the idea of a blockbuster and the movie industry as a source of piles of money.

Not that most people know that, there's a lot of it's good cause it's old and we love terrible colorization and not at all subtle racism.
