Absurd, stupid or otherwise, part of the point of free speech is that people can say (or draw) things that others don't approve of.
Drawing Muhammad is stupid, but if someone wants to do it they shouldn't have to fear violence. |

The "now kids will hear swearwords" argument is retarded. The FCC rules only applied to broadcast networks, not subscription services. But honestly, how many people have TV but not cable? If you have more than 15 channels (or however many are the free ones), your kids already have access to unenforceable swearwords.
The only reason to keep the law around is so we get comedy gold like this: |
