I remember trying this in elementary school- nothing happened. I think it just plays on most kids fears: being alone in a dark room doing something of which you're not sure of the consequences (like putting your hand in a dark bag, or opening a box that says "do not open"). The candle provides just enough light to encourage your imagination to play tricks on you.

At any rate, the idea probably came from the Candyman myth.

heard of a version where you were supposed to put the candle in front of a mirror, recitte the hail mary in reverse, at midnight (swear to god, all true).

Apparently it was supposed to evoke the devil.

Tried, nothing happened.

That's why i dont believe in anything supernatural. It's just agrown up version of those scary tales. Ghosts, spirits, demons, gods, psychic poweres. all the same ditty to confuse people.

Must be done on friday the 13th:

Apocalypto does start off pretty slow, but then the rest of the movie is just action. Not sure why the start takes so long.

Ok, let me clarify this.

Apocalypto is not a movie packed with action (at least not what i consider action scenes)

It's a movie about guys running/getting slaughtered.

Bloody thing+characters run away+get caught+bloody thing+characters run away+get caught....

Devastatingly boring.

On a side note. I agree with keith that alternate ending usually suck balls. I bought recently the blu ray for True Romance, which contains a much talked about alternate ending that Tarantino loved to brag about in interviews. Saw it. Hated it. If something doesnt make the cut, chances are it was shit.

I love the keith/chemda only shows. Still my favourites.

Hmm.

This happened in Utah. But I'm sure Keith is right, you can't see meteors.

Edit:

I can't find a video of it without commercials. Fuck me. The thing turned night into day - it was ridiculous.
Ohz Wellz.

anyone ever try the "candy-man" 5 times in a mirror? I wonder where these superstitions come from?
