I didn't vote for Ragan, and I am just going to accept that I mistook the point of the pool if the point of the poll (now I'm really not sure is it... is the Keith side "Keith dislikes Ragan because he's flaming" and the Ragan side "Ragan thinks Keith's a homophobe for not liking flaming people", if that's it, then my vote stays with Keith). Of course Ragan is allowed to dislike Keith... there really should be another Poll option (though the more right forces us to choose)... Keith is alright to dislike Ragan, and Ragan is alright to dislike Keith... I guess overall my point is quite simple, why is it wrong to dislike someone because of the way that they act.... I think it's wrong to dislike someone because of race, religion, sex, orientation... but absolutely appropriate to dislike someone based on their behavior. Both Keith and Ragan seem to dislike one another because of the others respective behavior, this is/should be just fine. This is all about personal relationships, which is all subjective to a persons view point. It would be completely wrong in a business/governmental capacity to deny someone an essential service based on non-relevant behavior, but completely appropriate for a person to not want to be in a social situation with someone whose behavior makes them feel uncomfortable (this applies to both Keith's side and Ragan's side).

They already mentioned on the show that this wasn't a very good argument, but I think it's weak for another reason than what Keith and Chemda said.

In both of these cases, the person is acting flamboyantly homosexual. To say Keith hates flamboyancy, you'd need a case where Keith is intolerant of someone who is flamboyantly heterosexual.

As far as I know, Keith not only tolerates Flamboyantly Hetero, he parties with him, superparties with him, has visited strip clubs with him, and promotes his two albums every chance he gets.

Ironically Ragan is the way I found out about KATG when he spoke about it's brilliance on a podcast he guest hosted on. Being in academia I can vouch for his professionalism as a teacher. He teaches rhetoric and communication at Cal State Long Beach and he is definitely not like the character who hosts FITC. Just wanted to share my personal experience. In no way am I taking sides here and hope I don't give that impression.

I think Keith is a stereotypophobe.

He seems to hate stereotypical archetypes of anything, regardless of race, sexuality, personality or anything else.

Obviously Keith sees Reagan as a stereotypical gay guy and as such shies away from personal interaction - not because he is gay, but because of Keith's hypersensitivity to stereotypes.

Same as why Keith reacted the way he did to Crazy Mike's "advances" - not because he thought they were genuine homosexual actions, and was being homophobic, but because of the stereotypical cringeworthy nature of their delivery.

Just my 2 cents.
