"Re:" suggest a reply or reaction, which is fitting for a second CD.

And of course "Rejoice" fits the theme set in his first CD's title.
I agree. Re: Joyce is better than both options.

I absolutely agree with Myq and Fairbanks! I saw Posehn live, and I knew I was going to hear 95% of material I've heard, so I'm on the fence. Really glad you liked it. also to add to the list is

Joe DeRosa "The Depression Auction"
Hannibal Buress "My Name Is Hannibal"
Mike Destefano "OK Karma"
Kyle Kinane "Death Of The Party"
Matt Mccarthy's "Come Clean"
and Paul F. Tompkins "You Should Have Told Me"

Seems like a ton, yes, but 2009 had some absolutely amazing, hard-hitting albums: Maria Bamford, Patton Oswalt, Jim Jefferies, Jamie Lissow, Pat Dixon, Doug Stanhope, Marc Maron, etc.

Granted, Louis CK "Hilarious" comes out this year, so that, Pro-Joyce and Nikki Glaser's album will even this out.
Just because they are bigger names doesn't mean they are better!

I came up with "Joyce schtick" tonight. Throwing that in as a darkhorse.

just listened to this episode and something caught my attention:
-Keith: If somebody shoots me, look into him first, it will be out of love.
-Chemda: If somebody shoots me, look into Jeremy first.

Was she joking? did Jeremy turn into a psycho? Am I missing something?

What "turn into"? He was always a psycho. Knowing everything about the show is psycho. He established his relationship with them on a creepy note and ended on a creepy note.

The only difference is now he has a reason not to like them.

They had a falling out over the whole break-up issue, that jeremy was one of the ones that knew early on and hinted at it to other people, that's about all that was said on the show.

No, but most of them are 20+ year veterans who have absolutely perfected their craft.

This year has definitely been one for newer comics (excluding CK), which is just fine.

There's also a downside of newer comics, or people new to stand-up. If anyone caught Broken Lizard Stands Up on Comedy Central the other night, as Keith would say: HORRENDOUS! By far one of the worst comedy DVD's I have seen. Worse than Jeff Garlin's release from last year. Please pass.

Throwing out my old idea of, "I'm funny or you're dumb. You decide."

that's what I thought, but thought that maybe there was more to the story, because to go from being friends to considering him your would-be killer... that's a long jump. wow.

Cretaceous Bob, I think you're right, it was a creepy relationship to begin with, kinda weird to have a friend that knows more about you than yourself :S

oh wells, that's life.
lock your doors and windows at night.

Also, to get back to the very small point of stand-up releases in 2010.

I just got ahold of Louis CK "Hilarious" Bill Burr "Let It Go" and Anthony Jeselnik "Shakespeare" and all of them are fantastic, wonderful and white.

Also, in agreement, bigger doesn't always mean better, ala the god-awful Janeane Garofalo "If You Will." And David Cross's "Bigger And Blackerer" wasn't as good, but still a great fucking title, got to agree with Jesse.

But those first releases were absolutely enjoyable. I am slowly awaiting Jesse Joyce's second album, and the next album from Dave Attell.
