One pf the most heasrtbreking moments in my life was when Lou Reed said in an interview that "Perfect day" was a song about a junkie describing as heroin day.

I dont see why thethreat of a backlash from islam should be something that scares America into doing something. They have been despising and hating the US simply beacuse they refuse to bow down to Islam. Caving in would just demonstrate that we have become their doormat.

You're over analyzing the Milton, FL thing. I grew up near there, thank god not actually in Milton, but close enough to know that they're not the smartest group of people. That lady probably did burn all his stuff up for watching J-Lo. Doesn't take much to set off one of those back-woods, redneck women. And the trial was (or will be) probably as open and shut as Keith described. I'm not saying everyone in Milton is bat-shit crazy, just the majority.

I'm okay with the Islamic Cultural Center because I feel that it does sort of hint toward our truest American ideals of religious freedom. But I guess the slight paradox I see in both situations is this:

How can both sides make the same argument about extremist being outraged because they are very sensitive to this issue? On the one hand you have people for the mosque saying if it doesn't happen the terrorist will be angrier than they are now. Cause you know we should totally do shit in America based on the emotions of extremist who will hate us no matter what.

Then the people against the Islamic Cultural Center are saying it shouldn't be there cause some extreme factions of America won't be able to handle the building being there.

It would be nice if people wouldn't be so damned sensitive but I really wish both sides would stop using the most sensitive extremes of the public to justify their own beliefs.

All that being said I don't find it as clear cut an issue as some people do. Maybe Trump buys the land instead and we'll never have to know who was right.
