I just wanted to ask about the iphone updates thing but not ignore his first part. I have the world's biggest headache and couldn't think of anything to write. I suppose I could have just ignored that....

Micah is right about "hoss," it does come from horse, and someone being described as a "hoss" is basically like saying they're strong like a horse...but hoss can also be used to describe someone being like...a lady's man, or good at something, or just a badass in general.

It is typically a positive thing, to call someone hoss. But I think it's a bit of a dumb thing to say.

I wonder if there's a "sarcastic motherfuckers" phenomenon in Linguistics that says the meaning of every word in any language eventually develops the opposite meaning as a result of sarcastic motherfuckers.

You can't tether stock, but most of the custom firmwares include the built in "mobile AP" which turns the phone into a wifi access point. Pretty slick, but it runs the battery down pretty fast.

I don't know if it's anything like most newer cell phones, but I use my Pre as a "wifi" access point, but since I'm already at the laptop anyway, use the cable to keep the phone charged via USB.
