2 and a half men is a microcosm for what's wrong with this country. I don't watch that shit show, I don't know anyone that does. And yet, it's the most popular thing in the US. How can it be that everyone I know is so completely alien to the mainstream in our country that we can't even see why the most popular show is even on the air.

It's either a beautiful poem about how we're all so different, and the fact that we manage to get along to this extent is a miracle, or it's an illustration of why we're doomed and will continue to be doomed in perpetuity.

I'm the "pussy" who wrote in. I don't have a problem with my roommate getting laid. That's why I didn't interrupt him when it was going on. My problem, if you'd listened during the show, was that this was going on at one in the morning when I had class the next morning at 8. My problem's not that I'm not getting some (which I am) it's that my roommate is being a piece of shit and I didn't know how to approach it. I wrote in asking for advice. And I don't think John insinuated that I was a pussy. Both he and Keith said my roommate was being inconsiderate.

Keith is again trying to rationalize his own ignorance about a topic. (For example, when he didn't know where Madagascar was... seriously? I think most college-educated people would know the answer. I personally asked some people I know to see if I was wrong about assuming this, and I found that more than half knew where Madagascar was.) I really respect the guy, but I agree with Chemda on this.

For all you potheads out there, vote for legalization and nothing else if that's what you care about. Beats not doing anything at all.

You didn't listen then. That's exactly what Keith was saying: only vote for the stuff you know about, leave the rest blank.

If you don't know anything about any candidates, then don't go to vote, you're not better just because you made the trip and voted for candidates who had most vowels in their name.

PS, Madagascar is a bad example, because a cartoon recently came out. Also there was Pandemic 2 flash game last year, and Madagascar was always a bitch to infect because it's a fucking tiny place off the coast with low population, takes for fucking ever to spread disease there. That's the only reason I'd be able to point it out on a map.

I tried watching that show once ot twice but thought it was unfunny and just painful to watch. When friends told me it the funniest thing ever I was quite taken aback.

I was just thinking about John F. the other day for a few reasons. First, he is one of my favorite guests. Secondly, about Chemda picking on girls. She gives John a hard time. I'm pretty sure it's not malicious but she does pick on him a lot. And finally, the voting issue. I thought it would be funny to write in John's name on the ballet any time that you got to a candidate that you didn't know about.
