I'm guessing Keith and Chemda were shocked to have found themsleves in the role of bullies here.

I've been thinking about this a lot, since it was definately 'most shocking moment' for me, especially coming on the heels of such an amazing back and and forth. I've listened to it again and my conclusion is this:-

When Myka went after Keith on racism Keith took a few seconds to lean into to it (although he can give as good as he gets and clearly enjoys a good argument!); during this moment Chemda's defensive instincts were aroused... her tone of voice and aggressive delivery took on a note only heard elsewhere when she defends, or talks about defending, her brothers. Keith picks up on Chemda's tone and his own combativeness is heightened; ...so Chemda's defending Keith and the show more stridently than she realises, Keith's unconsciously backing up Chemda and Myka gets hit with a sledgehammer for a transgression which should have been handled with a mere baseball bat.

Basically Keith and Chemda tapped into some kind of all-in, primal defence frezy. It's understandable, as they have been working as a team for such a long time (and animosity towards Danny was already there under the surface).

Note:- When Chemda's abortion was discussed it was the same situation. 'No' was agreed and then 'it happened anyway. Shit like that happens to everyone.

Anyway they will have to have Myka back for 'worst moment' award so they might as well have her back now.
