I've never felt any kind of speedy effect from mushrooms. In fact, they make me yawn a lot, and laugh, and smile. I can't even imagine smoking weed while on mushrooms, but that might be because all of the weed around here is unbelievably strong. I have a tincture made from cannabis and skullcap, which helps cut a lot of "brain chatter" (this is what the cannabis dispensary employee said), so that's nice in some chamomile tea if things get too crazy. But generally my mushroom trips were during a time when I was in a great space, with few responsibilities (as a teenager). The first time I took mushrooms, I was alone in my mom and dad's house. I ended up taking a walk through the woods, which helped A LOT, because all of the trees were singing this incredible gospel (the redwoods being the best, most soulful singers). After that experience, all of my trips have been planned around really beautiful outdoor experiences. The most intense was on a beach, when a storm suddenly hit. It picked up the bonfire, and sent little paisley-looking, twirling fireballs across the surface of the water and sand.

Mushrooms helped me with the hardest times of my life. My younger sister had cancer twice and without shrooms i dont think she or I would have made it. Shrooms gave her a special insight and a very postive attitude, she knew everything would be ok no matter what happened.
After our shroom trip she took half the pills she used to take, smiled more and helped other young cancer patients.
the change was amazing, she is now healthy and with beauitful family and continues to work with young kids fighting cancer.

I don't have any evidence, but this rings false. Wouldn't your natural stomach acids do a better job of breaking down plant matter then another acid that is stored in plant matter? I wanted to learn the interaction between shrooms and orange juice out of curiosity, so i googled it and looked around a bit. There's people out there who say it ENHANCES the effect of the shrooms and have colourful pseudo scientific explanations for that too.

I trust Myq cause hes intelligent and has first hand experience. Still, you fail again internet.

My friends ALWAYS had orange juice on hand to wash the mushrooms down, saying it made the effects more powerful. That's the only way I've ever taken mushrooms, and it was always powerful. But, I don't have non-oj/shroom experiences to compare it to, so who knows? Well, scientists, probably. . .
