2) like i said on the show, most drugs don't make you black out like alcohol can, especially if you only have a small amount. 3) i'm fairly controlly about what i do and the circumstances in which i do them (kind of a not quite OCD, or fauxCD), and you can totally create controlled situations within which you can trust that whatever happens, everything will be under control. take a small amount of a new substance that you've vetted with someone you trust in a safe place. you won't all of a sudden become a different person who wants to flee your friend and environment for an outside unsafe zone experience that you'll never remember. i'm not saying you need to do anything, just that your concerns can be addressed in rational ways that can still allow you to have these new experiences if you want to, and which can certainly be worthwhile. |

Just wanted to say I really enjoy Myq as a guest and I can follow his train of thoughts no matter how many different side trips they take, I like the wordplay and when Myq is on I laugh a lot! I feel like K&C kind of give him grief about his wordplay and stuff, it feels like giving someone grief for the way they think.

I appreciate your support, though I believe that their grief is given in fun, and received similarly. (And if the way THEY think is to provide grief, then who am I to deny them THEIR thought processes.) Also, if none of this is the case, we can agrief to disagrief. Thanks again! |

Update: I did a podcast called the Gentlemen's Club when I was in LA last week, during which I talked about mushrooms.
This morning, I got an email from my grandmother titled "LA podcast," the body of which said "what does 'doing mushrooms' mean?" Because my grandmother follows every link I put on Facebook. So, I may have to change my answer in the poll. |

PS I wrote back this:
"there are certain types of mushrooms that when ingested can make the ingester have a spiritual type of experience they are non-addictive, harmless, and have been shown to have beneficial effects health-wise and 'doing mushrooms' refers to eating those types of mushrooms." And she wrote back this: "It worried me. I thought it might be a euphimism for an addictive drug. Notice, I listen to anything I see your name on. Love you!" We did it. The moral is, I just wanted to brag that my grandmother loves me. And is my biggest fan. She's my fandmother. |
