1392: Liar Liar

I can't stand people who think it's okay to be an asshole if they simply admit they're an asshole. That's what Mark is doing. He's just getting away with it because he's funny and attractive.

Mark is just like one of my good buddies that I have had since HS. He constantly tells lies all the time and we, as his friends just always call him out on his bullshit. Anytime he says something everyone assumes its a lie and puts the onus on him to prove us wrong.

He is genuinely like Mark and will go out of his way to make a lie more believable but its what makes him funny. He does sincierely make things more fun because his stories are too funny and they never hurt anyone and as a person he always owns up if someone sees through his bullshit. I guess it runs in the family seeing as his older brother is pretty much the same and they both share the same nickname; the bandit. A mutual friend who we both got to know around the same time couldn't believe me when i straight up told her that 90% of what he says is total bullshit and she proceeded to ask me how we put up with it. And my answer was pretty simple and similar to Mike Lawrence's answer; "Its because he is generally a good guy."

The fact that he can't tell the difference between lying and telling your friend that you like their cooking when it sucks, and making up a whole story about breaking up with your girlfriend because you didn't want to talk about her makes me want to punch him in the junk.

His lying seems to come from the fact that he doesn't know how to deal with people socially.

Finally catching up on the last month of shows and loved this episode. I like the guy but seriously, why do that to yourself and your friends. Your friends are probably lying in saying that they're ok with you doing it just to not upset you. What a pickle.

Also saw his signature on my signed marathon show shirt. But did you really sign it Mark? Did you?
