Of course that's not what I'm saying. What I am saying, and what I said, is that receiving a substantial bill for the time spent and services rendered should not have been unexpected. Is 9 million too much? Maybe. Probably. But how did this story make the news? The family would have had to report it to a news station. If they said look at this bill, it's 9 million dollars, then maybe they have a case, but considering a normal nightly stay at any hospital is around $1000 or more, they had to known it wasn't going to be cheap. If you refer to the post I made 2 replies above that one, I suggested that the family should fight the bill, but to absolve them of responsibility completely would set one of the worst precedents ever.
