WTF?

So you are saying that this girls has a very serious and obviously deadly illness but the family made the silly decision of "keeping her there" and planning to not pay for it because that is soooooo fun? As opposed to just letting her die without doctors assistance at home because that would clearly be the cheaper choice.

Of course that's not what I'm saying. What I am saying, and what I said, is that receiving a substantial bill for the time spent and services rendered should not have been unexpected. Is 9 million too much? Maybe. Probably. But how did this story make the news? The family would have had to report it to a news station. If they said look at this bill, it's 9 million dollars, then maybe they have a case, but considering a normal nightly stay at any hospital is around $1000 or more, they had to known it wasn't going to be cheap. If you refer to the post I made 2 replies above that one, I suggested that the family should fight the bill, but to absolve them of responsibility completely would set one of the worst precedents ever.
