Just an FYI
I voted that I thought it was a waste of money, cause I thought it was a waste of money.
Victor's Disney analogy changed my mind. |

There was a study some years ago, that looked at various societies and cultures, and how the dress of women within them changed how men looked at women sexually and the incidence of rape within them.
If I remember correctly, where women cover themselves up more, they are more likely to be raped, especially when situations occur that those women expose their skin. When women wear little and men expect to see skin, women are less likely to be raped, indeed women are more likely to have equal or greater social power within the society. Unfortunately we seem to live in multi-cultural societies these days. When I go for a walk these days, I am likely to see women who cover every bit of their skin, including their faces. I've listened to their men, discussing women from English descent, and have often heard them discussing their sexual excitement in seeing legs, arms and the tops of breasts in public. I've even heard some suggest they would like to rape one of these women, because they obviously want the rape. I've also discussed this attitude with some of them, and some have even said their religion suggest their belief in that raping women who show themselves is natural. It isn't of course, anyone who has read their holy book will quickly understand otherwise, but some of their religious leaders suggest otherwise. I'd rather live somewhere, where women show more, but then, I like looking at women. |

I bet if you could really delve deeper, you would find a point in these couples past where one of the friends was making a move, and the other person stopped it, which actually started the mutual understanding that the fucking portion of their friendship was over. Then if they were actually truly good friends, they would continue to hang out, otherwise they wouldn't. |

If you come across the study let me know because I'd be interested to know how they got their data. I would assume that in very restrictive cultures, fewer women are comfortable even reporting their rapes at all. Yeah, I thought that analogy gave it a perspective I hadn't considered. |

Recent research indicates that with acquaintance rape it's actually a small number of men who commit multiple assaults and who are purposely looking for intoxicated or vulnerable women. These are not instances in which the guy is just confused about a woman's "signals." These guys are predators. And we're talking about less than ten percent of guys.
