Not embarrased. Was a cook in high school, but in my small-town you were looked down on if you didn't have a job. Waiter during college, pretty typical. Then got a "regular" job right after college.

Hannibal's awesome. His CD's great, and I saw him at Helium with my girlfriend in July expecting to hear a lot of material from the CD. Instead, he broke out a ton of dark material that was completely new to me and incredibly funny. He's a terrific comedian.

I worked at a Hardware store to pay off restitution for being naughty. On pay day I was the only one who didn't get to walk back to the bosses office for a check. My checks went to the courts, and out of that, I got a dollar an hour.

Also, as part of a different (earlier) punishment, I was forced to do community service and work at a homeless shelter. I actually liked working there, was embarrassed that I had to do it out out of community service.

Much later, as a grown adult I moved to a new city across the country and worked for a clothing store with illegals and teenagers making $7.00 an hour. It was then that my boyfriend explained to me that I was not an application person, but a resume person.

How did I not know I was too smart for retail until somebody told me?

Eddie Murphy is such a big flappin' baby. If you are a humorist and someone calls something like, I dunno, gross or disgusting you take that hurt and turn it inwards to never let out again, you lousy crumb bums.

I don't know what the fuck happened to him. It is like he was never a comedian. What comedian do you know asks for an apology besides Keith?
