I didn't hear a whole lot of generalizing going on. I thought I was listening to a lot of talk about Palestine, in which case the talk was prescient.

Anyways,jokes aside..I was definitely disappointed in the stuff said in this episode. Particularly from Chemda because I'd expect this from Keith.

The Middle East is, generally, very poor. Poverty breeds instability. Instability and poverty together helps those who want to instill hate.

There's money in the Middle East (mostly oil and natural gas money), but it is concentrated in the hands of a select few, either royalty or dictatorial regimes. They live it up while the rest of the region doesn't develop economically.
