It is odd that there aren't any clearly defined goals for the OWS movement. It seems like instead of explaining it people who are involved should just be like, "We're mad for a bunch of different reasons and we just want to collectively display our displeasure together."

That's what it seems like on the outside looking in. I keep trying to imagine other great movements in history and how they would've looked if there were no clearly defined goals. What if there were civil rights sit ins at segregated diners but when asked for their list of demands the protesters were like, "Oh it's not about racism. We're all here for different reasons."

Just seems like it would be an easier story to tell if it did have a focus but at the same time I doubt they can get everyone in this group to agree to any ONE thing.

I'm pretty sure you described Canada best when you described a hot dog vendor not covering their condiments because, why would anyone do anything?
It's Canada!

Exhibit B

"Some grade school students were forced to walk a gauntlet of screaming “Occupy Wall Street” protesters just to get to school on Thursday.

It was a wild day in lower Manhattan for most everyone involved, including elementary school children who had to brave the mayhem just to get to class on the other side of Wall Street."

Oh, that's not hysterical reporting at all. Might as well post Fox's article: "OWS Thugs Threaten Small Children," another conservative blog calls it, "OWS Goons Terrorize Small Children," and over at the Free Republic they make sure we all know that OWS belongs to Obama.

ok, but if you take away the reporting, the fact still stays.

Um, I don't know that there's anybody in the presidential field that doesn't do something Bush did.

We have a guy in office that does a fuck ton of things Bush did, and most of them the worst things, and Bush didn't even lie about not doing them.
