An issue with pronouncing a guests name incorrectly would be that anyone who liked their appearance on the show would have trouble searching for them online.
When I googled "Shane Mouse" I got a bunch of mouse pad websites. but then again searching for "Shane Moss" doesn't help either so maybe they should just write his name on the screen... Last edited by WittyReference; 01-31-2012 at 10:42 PM. Reason: more info |

Keith mispronounced Mark Maron's last name when he was first on the show. Also how many appearances did Diane O'Debrh have on the show before Keith learned that she was not only a standup but primarily was a standup comedian? But to be fair he at least got her name right. Of course we all understand that its just a simple mistake and not really a big deal. Except Keith.
Also Deandre, you might be dyslexic. It maybe something you already know, but if you didn't you may want to look into getting help for that. Last edited by invader; 01-31-2012 at 11:00 PM. |

Actually, Elements of Fucking Style has good grammar advice. The "parody" part is because it's a parody of the old Strunk and White's The Elements of Style. They're both short enough to be read quickly, but the old book is a bit too much detail for everyday stuff.

The 'Little Girl Voice'
I'm kind of surprised Chemda didn't comment on the 'other-other' reason women sometimes sound like 'little girls.' It can also be due to molestation as a young girl. My friend's crazy-as-shit girlfriend is like this and she talks and texts...like a stupid little girl. It's sad, but apparently the person has a split in their development at the time of the tragedy and if the person is a 5 yr old girl: that's what they sound like. Sometimes a therapist can even tell as to what age - just by determining how old the voice is...
So there's that. AND. Women know how to manipulate men. |
