Pat Dixon opened up for Keith's 'Culture Shock." I so wish I could see his show in 2012. As a shit-bag fan I'm terrified that this year might be the last KatG week. It's been eluded to and ... just hope that's not the case.

Know what? I'm 27, Female, Straight-ish, 34B, and High.
KATG changed my life. It took a young girl by the hand and guided her into womanhood; I work hard, I am not an asshole, I am comfortable in my skin and grey-ish sexuality. Some of my closest and most trusted friends are from this very community; most of whom I've been fortunate enough to meet face to face. When I had my entire life jacked by a fellow fan, it was given right back to me with their unwavering support and love and when the time came, I legally changed my name to a nickname derived from my /chat handle. I have risen. I have overcome. Keith. Chemda. The work you do is important. It affects people. It causes change. Thank You. (super p.s. every October several hundred people expose themselves liberally for no more reason than to pleasure their fellow dirty mind. It's a beautiful thing. and I am awfully proud and humbled to be given the opportunity to orchestrate its maelstrom happening. l'chaim) |

Depending on what state I lived in when I won the lottery, I might be legally required to split the lottery winnings with my husband. However, I am not married and live in Oregon. So, I would only split the winnings with my S.O. if I knew down deep in my soul that this person would also live on the streets with me if the circumstances were to change in that direction. But I am not stupid, so you can bet I'd have my lawyer involved in every part of the deal. It's more likely that I'd cut him a big check than just give him access to my account.

green card lottery
The so called "green card lotteries" are a sad state of affairs. A long time ago I had to monitor for these companies which were facilitating these raffles. They mostly targeted Hispanics in hopes that they would become American citizens. The raffle itself was for the application which can be downloaded for free. ICE does not do raffles. The process is completely audit based.

The DV-Lottery is real, but it is free to enter. The only costs you should have is postage, and the cost of medical exams, translation of documents, and background checks. They have a processing center in the U.S. that actually scans all of the entry card photos and signatures and tosses out duplicates.
There was a scam here in Ukraine where some people bribed the interior ministry back in the late nineties to get access to passport applications, so they had people's photos, signatures, and addresses. They filled out the postcards with the photos and signatures, but alternate addresses they controlled, and sent them in. All of the people that actually sent it in themselves got screwed for sending in duplicate entries, and the people that were selected had their entry form sent to the briber-controlled addresses. The bribers would then show up with real winning DV packages and extort the families for thousands of dollars so they could leave to the U.S. Anything to make a buck over here.

I love Mr. Love but this country shit is really leaving a bad taste in my mouth. As long as he's getting paid and happy I suppose I can't complain too much, and it doesn't appear to be changing him or anything so fuck it. It just seems like a waste that somebody so cultured, creative, and overall awesome is using his artistic ability on crap like this. As if the undereducated south needed more messages telling them that white trash; while statistically more likely to fuck up in just about every possible way; make great men. Even if it was said tongue-in-cheek it is no better than these gangsta rappers essentially selling out and producing lowest common denominator horseshit. I am not for censorship and I think almost everything should permitted including music, but to say young minds aren't effected by messages like this is naive. It isn't even really the music, we as a species learn by example. We automatically put everyone we meet into patriarchal roles and somebody in the entertainment industry for all intents and purposes is an elder of sorts in our subconscious mind due to their highly recognized success. So people being insanely successful spouting fuck-all and never being held accountable for anything over time will effect your perception on what you believe a "good" person entails. Naturally just about every other influence in your life will have more of an impact than music in and of itself but it is none-the-less hardly an admirable thing to pursue.
