So... Chick-Fil-A is responsible for religious hatred affecting politics in this country. Not that that religion is affecting the entire society, from people's beliefs to their businesses to their politics.

Uh huh.

Not them exclusively, i was just trying to make a point that they are a part of it, even if it is a very small part.

People will found successful businesses and try to further their beliefs. That is inevitable. We can either say democratic republics were a dumb idea and switch over to a liberal dictatorship, or we can try to affect the source of people's beliefs. (That is not, for clarification, a sandwich company.)

They got rid of those after the movie Supersize Me embarrassed them.

a question for Mike Lawrence, if hes still reading the forums. Is your cd still coming out? i live in italy and my only chance at hearing your stand up, at the moment, would be the cd. i remember it was supposed to come out as "cone of shame" but you havent mentioned it anymore....

They opened a Chik-Fil-A in Hollywood about a year ago and everyone thought they would be swarmed with protesters because of the local gay population, but there are only gigantic lines that really screw with traffic on Sunset Boulevard.

Seems like the (slightly) more practical way to fight this is to become an indispensable demographic rather than try to keep Americans ignorant or apathetic to this issue away from the greatest chicken sandwich (and sweet tea) available.

Mike says the obesity epidemic is about affordability of healthy food, but that's only part of the problem. People not moving their bodies around is another huge factor. It's also that a lot of the food (even expensive food) is Calorie-dense and tastes awesome, and there is such a wealth of it in the U.S.
