As an atheist, I've gotten a lot of criticism for defending Israel since the primary reason for the creation of Israel is based on the Bible. That's a good question, I'm not sure about that. When I dive into the new code, I'll know more. We'll also have the ability for other cool stuff since the upgraded forums will have new code and more plug-ins available. I thought the creation of Israel was to make Europeans feel less guilty about the 6 million Jews massacred. Though I guess the location is religous. Though can't you talk about Mecca and other holy places without being religous? |

It's hard to talk about holy sites without covering the religious motivations driving the people to defend the land. The reasons and justifications for many actions are often religious in nature. Chemda thought the same thing too. |

Finally finished listening to the show today. Rich said something about how he thought electing a Jewish president would somehow allow for a more tolerant view of Jews in America. I have to disagree with this because of the backlash I have seen with Obama's re-election. The same people who, four years ago, were so proud to have elected the first black president, are now letting their inner bigot shine by calling him the N-word and calling for his lynching. There was a story from FB which made its way to the mainstream media, where a woman posted something about "4 more years of this N-word." (though she actually said it) Of course, she also claimed to not be a racist. My point is that if you are bothered enough by a candidate, you will find something about him to hold against him, regardless of how you might have felt about him before. I could have all the respect for Romney for his role in the Olympics, but I despised him as a rich, smug bastard.
