Look, if the fucking tornadoes were the worst thing about Oklahoma, the place would be a comparative paradise to what it is now.

So, that said, move. And then move back in a few years when you get too sad.

Bear in mind, also, that this was the worst tornado to happen to Oklahoma in a long time, maybe ever. The last one that came close to this was the May 3, 1999 tornado. It's not nearly like this every year — this is definitely a freak occurrence.

With global warming, probably not.

That kanuk version of the yank anthem sounds exactly like the version I do.

Apparently OK doesn't breed the sharpest of knives in the USA drawer...

Its residents think nothing of building their houses in a location guaranteed to mortally endanger them on a yearly basis.

They have no concept of mattresses, and sleep on floors with gay abandon.

When it gets hot, they sit in a puddle of sweat and complain rather than buying a fan for $5.

They viciously abuse well-meaning podcast hosts who are only trying to bring joy to the ears of their listeners.

And then there's that fucking musical...

Here's one of the locals, wearing Oklahoma's state motto:

Blitzgal and violachick8 like this.

If I know i'm going to sing something live I practice it enough that I KNOW I won't fuck it up. When you're singing in a sports arena it is entirely disrespectful to not know, beyond a doubt, that you won't screw up the national anthem. I don't even do more than play the odd bar, but I would NEVER go on stage and sing something that I don't know the words to, bring lyrics if you don't think you can remember, but it's the god damned national anthem. You don't sing it live if your not comfortable enough to nail it.
