Maltese X Poodle
Oh man,
This episode makes me miss my two dogs. We had a maltese X poodle (just like Hugsy Malone) called Charlie and a Cocker Spaniel named Toby. We got Charlie just as we were moving to the country for 2 years but while we were there, my wife (gf at the time, to be clear) and I were both working (me on 12 hour days for 7 days at a time, then with a few days off) so Charlie was quite lonely. I was against it but we ended up getting Toby to keep Charlie company which ended up being great for Charlie but once we moved back to the city we just couldn't do much more than feed them, bathe them and walk them a couple time a week at best. We wanted to be able to walk them daily, play with them and do more for them but we were just too busy to own dogs in hindsight. We loved the dogs but when my wife had our first child we knew that there would be even less time for them with a child in the mix. And sure enough, it got to the point where they'd barely get walked each week. It was one of the hardest things we've ever been through to give the dogs up for adoption and hearing this episode just opens the wound again. Booooooo. I don't want a dog ever again because I will always have the guilt of not being able to do enough for them. We had a dog growing up (2, but not at the same time) but there were 2 adults and 4 kids in the house to look after them so they were always being looked after well. Turns out my daughter is allergic to dog saliva so we would have had to of done it anyway. I know that my 2 kids are going to ask for a dog at some stage but my wife and I are pretty adamant about it. 2628_85599488477_2793644_n.jpg

Wow, Scumhook. Any shred of anything I'd call respect for you is gone.

Just wait till they ask for one for their birthday. You'll fold faster than Keith when we used to play poker. |

My daughter is scared of dogs though since she usually starts sneezing and getting an itchy throat when around other dogs. Thought it was the hair but because dogs lick themselves, if hair does get on my daughter or she breathes it in its the same as getting licked by one. So she'd have to change her tune an allergies for this to really happen. The vet has called a couple times as the new owners hadn't registered the dogs properly when one of them got picked up after the gate was left open (this has happened twice, makes me so fuckin angry). I'm in my every right to go pick up the dogs if the vet calls me, they haven't registered them and they let them escape (one of them anyhow) so fuck em. But that's probably not a good idea. |
