if you open the picture in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. (which is the default whenever I open a pic. there is a tab that says "edit pictures" then you can crop it or resize it etc. If you know the pixel by pixel requirements thats great if not you gotta play around with it, but if I figured it out I am sure you can too..:-)

Whatever program you use to reduce the image, I suggest you reduce it to 640 x 480 size.

You can create a flickr acount and add your photos there, they accept any size.

You can add any file size upto 1280x1024 on here, it will create thumb nail in the post window.
