It's episodes like this that make me sad when they finish. KATG are the best interviewers, never afraid to push and work through ideas with guests. So good, I'd wish they went for hours.

New Business op
New business op for the show...KATG Productions Ltd. But that's obvious, right?

KATG has everything they need (especially the experience) to produce low cost dvds with good sound.
I knew a few aspiring musicians in LA and Portland. There were producers who would record them but charge them upfront. These were poor artists who couldn't afford it. But with KATG, it's different. They know how to do it well on the cheap, they have a store and they have an audience. KATG can do it all. There's a certain kind of deal in film funding (forget the name), but it goes like this: bank gives money to production company, film is made, 80% of profits go to bank and 20% goes to prod company until the loan is payed, then the percentages are swapped going forward forever. It's a little extra accounting, but it allows the artist to get their thing done and respects the risk taken by the funders. |

For the record, "low cost" to me still means some real money, I was just considering it more viable because of the existing infrastructure. and I in no way was trying to tell keith and chemda what they should be doing with their time.
I over think stuff all the time, it's an occupational hazard (I'm a systems analyst). |
