I think Wiredjazz hit the nail on the head with the storytelling. I have come to use Keith and The Girl to make my life easier. My drive to work they make me forget I am driving to hell. Housework becomes easier because of the easy flow of the show. I think the story in the middle just didn't flow for me. However if they would have had these same people on as guest and they told their stories I think I would have like it.

Not only did you forget the lesbians, you forgot the gays that didn't like Hunger Games 2.

That said, I hope there is a story-telling spin off. I started listening to RISK! after Kevin Allison was on and it is a good podcast. I trust KATG to know good stories when they hear them, and, similar to RISK!, story-telling podcasts are like being at a party and having each person tell you about the most interesting thing that ever happened to them... and then they leave. Everybody can tell you one story, maybe two, about something that captivates your imagination, but then you ultimately want to put a bullet in their head because they won't shut up about their favorite sport or hobby. The people who can tell you more than 3 or 4 are professional entertainers. The format isn't KATG, but I did hear a lot about Keith and Chemda last week that I had never heard before.

Speaking of RISK!, and if anyone has the time (or stomach for it), there is an episode featuring Danny Lobell that HAS TO BE FAKE! All of the RISK! episodes feature people in harrowing, embarrassing, or outrageously odd situations. Of the many episodes I've listened to, this episode is the only one where the "story-teller" doesn't do a single thing wrong except for taking a nap on the job due to illness. Danny paints himself to be someone trying to be the best friend, cook, and comedian for a group of elderly people while the evil kitchen chief makes his life a living hell by falsely accusing him of watching porn on the job. I almost can't believe that Kevin Allison put this show up because it is so unlike any other story, even if it wasn't Danny Lobell. If the moral of the story was "Life isn't fair," then fine, but this show just makes Danny look like the illegitimate child of Pope Francis and Mother Teresa, and that wouldn't be his fault either.

Loved the story at The End.

Too bad you don't do that kind of thing more often.

The Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur came first. King Minos vanquished Athens in war. He then demanded tributes in the form of children, seven girls and seven boys who were put into the Minotaur's maze and had to fight their way through.

The idea of putting children through killing games seems to be as old as storytelling.
