So this is a moot point in this time and space but, Chemda, do your parents understand what Andrew does? If they get that, has it never worked to just say "I do what Andrew does but it's funny"

Awww that's cute

1) My parents don't want me to work. They want me to marry and make babies. I'm not joking when I say that. That's success to them. Everything else is me shaming them.

2) It's cute that you think they listen to me. It's not like I don't know how to explain my job. I talk for a living. Also I speak their first language, Hebrew. I'd be able to explain it.

3) technically, they probably don't care what my brother does either. If it's not a doctor or a lawyer then he's a tech nerd with crazy interweb job.
I remember when my brothers had a successful internet company and my dad would find joy in telling people that they sell air. That's his way of saying they beat the system because they're selling nothing and people are buying.
They belittle everything that they don't know.

But I'll keep trying with them. It's totes worth it.
