That raise in minimum wage is not as helpful as Obama leads people to believe. Most government employees already make more than $10.10 an hour and the raise is only going to help about 10% of people. It's still good for those 10% but it's not the godsend Obama makes it out to be. Also executive action has no Constitutional basis and although other presidents have used it in the past Obama is awfully close to taking it too far.

Its not raising the minimum wage for federal workers, its raising the federal minimum wage. This makes it mandatory for all employees to be paid that wage while leaving the states the ability to make the state minimum wage higher.
