For the correction, i've seen it spelled both ways. To be politically correct, I fixed it.

Now I have to live the rest of my life with the knowledge that I caused somebody to do something for the sake of being politically correct. Sorry for that. Don't think I'm like mary the cunt. The reason you see it spelled both ways is that a lot of people make the same mistake. I just happen to know from my time in the army, that this Gary was a Garry.

what you should do to the cunt

just find her cell phone number, announce it on the show, and have your fans blow it up.

Yes, I wasn't trying to dig in and get all historical and shit but the original Irish tune and the geographical location is Garryowen. The Americans came along on and turned it into two words and sometimes reference the fact that it was originally one word. All the music I ever saw had it as two words. And at times, news reporters who don't care about getting anything right ever just assume it is some soldier's name and give him the name Gary Owen.

Anyway, catchy tune and always a crowd favorite. The only time I ever saw a 90-year old man get up and start dancing at a stuffy ceremony was to this tune. He was gettin' jiggy for an old dude.

You are wrong. It can't be spelled both ways. The other way you've seen it is wrong. I'm sure you hear the non-word irregardless alot too.

(it's regardless, there is no irregardless)

More Garry Owen history.

Gen. Custer is the one who adapted this catchy little tune into his Cavalry Regiment, which then was 7th CAV. 7th CAV has a very rich history. Remember Custer's last stand, How about "We Were Soldiers" Those stories are about 7th CAV and really happened. 3/7 CAV has just completed its second tour of Iraq with 3rd Infantry DIV, and is stationed at Ft. Stewart. 1/7 and 2/7 CAV are located in the 1st CAV at Ft. Hood. I know 4/7 CAV were in Korea but do not know if they are still there or not.

Sorry about all the Mispellings of Garry Owen, i was drinking way too much when i created the signature, so please stop kicking me, its really starting to hurt, lol.

You all have a great day.

Cindy Adams

Isn't that Penny Crone, the old crotchety journalist, from the Stern press conference not Cinday Adams?
