Thanks
For the correction, i've seen it spelled both ways. To be politically correct, I fixed it.

Now I have to live the rest of my life with the knowledge that I caused somebody to do something for the sake of being politically correct. Sorry for that. Don't think I'm like mary the cunt. The reason you see it spelled both ways is that a lot of people make the same mistake. I just happen to know from my time in the army, that this Gary was a Garry.

Gary Owen

Anyway, catchy tune and always a crowd favorite. The only time I ever saw a 90-year old man get up and start dancing at a stuffy ceremony was to this tune. He was gettin' jiggy for an old dude. Lickmy |

Thanks
More Garry Owen history.
Gen. Custer is the one who adapted this catchy little tune into his Cavalry Regiment, which then was 7th CAV. 7th CAV has a very rich history. Remember Custer's last stand, How about "We Were Soldiers" Those stories are about 7th CAV and really happened. 3/7 CAV has just completed its second tour of Iraq with 3rd Infantry DIV, and is stationed at Ft. Stewart. 1/7 and 2/7 CAV are located in the 1st CAV at Ft. Hood. I know 4/7 CAV were in Korea but do not know if they are still there or not. Sorry about all the Mispellings of Garry Owen, i was drinking way too much when i created the signature, so please stop kicking me, its really starting to hurt, lol. You all have a great day.
