Epistomology

the "theory of knowledge" especially with regard to its methods, validity, and scope. Epistemology is the investigation of what distinguishes justified belief from opinion

Who knows?!

Could be a salad, could be a Hostess cupcake. Could be anything.

And that's implying a salad is healthy. But is it? Is tuna salad with way too much mayonese healthy? Yes, if you don't know what healthy means either, I guess it is. But you see our point.

If we all know what we're talking about (IE salad is healthy but not with too much mayo) then it's just a circle jerk. We'll all agree with each other, nod and smile.

If we're trying to advance a topic, then address specific issues like too much mayo on salads. Is that too obvious? Then let's talk about something that isn't as obvious.

Of course, it doesn't always make sense to dive into a topic. Sometimes you want to use a general term as part of a larger conversation. "We have too many problems in the world with wars, harmful chemicals in our food, etc." But, if I'm going to have a discussion about food, I think it should be more specific.

That's all your saying. Why can't people see that?

Sometimes I wonder if these so-called "people" even want a discussion.

The government should do this and that? But it's people who voted in the government. So the PEOPLE are the government. So then make things healthier if you want them healthier, people.

Can you you admit, Michael (and everyone that voted for Michael in the show poll), that you like to argue even if it's not necissarily coming from a genuine place?

I know this is the case, I'm just seeing if you guys can admit it.

I usually answered, "pick me up a bird." Then flipped her one for emphasis.
Your workmate is silly. A kiwi can't be a fruit.

In this way, NZ is just like Iran.

This really isn't the case. I truly believe that conversations about chemicals, processed foods are meaningless. No one wants to eat harmful food. Saying that you don't want to eat harmful chemicals is pointless. Of course that's the case.

I feel that people who say obvious statements like "I don't want harmful chemicals in my food" are saying the same thing as "I like to breath air". Both statements are obvious and neither statements are saying anything serious.

"I like healthy food" = "I like to drink clean water". Both are equally profound.

those are real conversations we can have. water rights are a conversation we can have. non-germinating seeds are part of a conversation we can have. air quality is a conversation we can have. the correlation between economic situation and access to quality food is a conversation we can have; this one goes into educational policy as well.

i think they're both obvious /and/ serious. they should be obvious. and yet we still have problems in each of those areas. necessitates deeper conversation.

I think the giant food companies are very pleased with people like Michael's intellectualism.

When Michael gets cancer from his food and you guys being up this conversation though, I won't make it a big deal. I'm classy.
