As a person withdrawing from antidepressants, this show was like munching LSD and touching the sun with my penis.

Christi is GORGEOUS!!!!

"Eating a foot long" has a whole other meaning where I come from.

And the good fight continues...

Don't Want Me to Spit on You When You Recline Your Airline Seat? Pay Me.
One would think that a civilized society would, in time, come to some accepted standards for civilized behavior. We are not talking here about anything so crude as laws; we are talking about simple decency towards your fellow humans. We do not require laws to tell people to give up their seat for a pregnant woman, or help an elderly person across the street, or refrain from cursing at waiters. We expect people to do that out of common decency. Those who would refuse to follow such simple rules simply because they are not laws are known as selfish, antisocial monsters who will likely die friendless and alone....

I thought she was Chemda doing her Danny voice until they talked at the same time.

Christi was a great guest. It isn't backed by any scientific studies, but I remembered Dr. Drew talking about women with little girl voices.

Whoa. I totally thought the same thing, Los! However, I know women with the little girl voice. I do not think Christi's situation is the same thing..?

There are certain women who simply have higher octave voices. Remember the gal from SNL who had a high pitched/ girlish voice? Her name is Victoria Jackson, (google her if you're not familiar) but I bring her up because I believe her voice is just naturally that way.

Trauma is pervasive in our culture and it's always good to factor into the equation, but when considering Nature VS Nurture: you cannot forget the Nature part. Some people are just born that way.

Yeah, I doubt it. I think it applies more to inflection and pronunciation of words than just having a high pitched voice. If Christi's voice was lower, her speech pattern would probably sound completely normal, while women with this trait would still sound child-like.

Victoria Jackson did a segment on SNL where she spoke with a deeper voice. It was weird.

Its the assholes that fling their seat back all the way as quickly as possible that get to me. Give me a chance to settle in and eventually, gradually put it back so I can get out of the way of it. Then there are the pricks who don't even put their seat up when the food comes. I hope the stewardess spits in your food before she tells you to stop being selfish.

Chemda - have you checked out any other animated shows that H Jon Benjamin from Bob's Burgers has been in? I'd recommend Dr Katz, Home Movies and Archer.

I am 6ft 1 and fly quite a bit, mostly in economy and quite a lot in budget. The "rule" used to be that you put your seat up at meal time, and recline at others. It is not just about legroom, it's about comfort, and being able to relax. Studies have shown that alertness is increased by sitting bolt upright i.e. the ability to relax is impaired by the inability to recline.

Given the choice, I would take recline over additional legroom. As a westerner living in Asia I frequently get asked if i would sit in an exit row (because I would understand instructions given in English and could handle a 40kg door) but I usually decline if regular seats recline ... exit rows do not, generally.

If someone clamped my seat, he would have a problem with me.
