On one of Ari Shaffir's latest podcasts he says there is an airline in Asia that have seats that when they recline take up more of your own legroom instead of the person behind you. He said he noticed on those planes that almost no one reclined as they are only prepared to inconvenience others, not themselves.

I tried looking it up but couldn't remember the airline. Google fail.

The amount you recline the back of the seat is the same amount the chair slides forward so you're always taking up the same amount of space no matter how you sit.

Sounds good to me so I hope it's real. I realised I've been listening to eps out of order and am now not even sure if it was a recent one. You've mentioned messaging him before. I'm sure he'd be happy to hear from you about the big topics.

I finally lost it when Christi Chiello said "I'm a 90's bitch!" I've been drinking and literally said outloud "I fucking can't anymore." That voice!

Cathay Pacific introduced the "shell seats" which do not recline so much as slide forward within a fixed frame. Takes some getting used to, and not very good if you're tall.
