I understand the necessity for VIP
It's a terrific show, I didn't mean to imply that the VIP material wasn't worth it, or that anyone associated with the show isn't insanely talented. I understand the necessity of VIP, and being a long time fan I am ashamed of myself, and anyone else who regularly enjoys KATG without contributing financially.
I also can see the hypocrisy in complaining for more content (longer shows) but not subscribing to VIP. I am possessive of a show that I love, and while I find Danny humorous (and incredibly impressive for pursuing his dream and his hilarity despite his youth) I'm not sure his content is what I'm after. I'm sure VIP will change my mind. wiredjazz was kind enough to send me a discount code (which I will use) and the only person who I felt made thoughtful, salient commentary to my points. Other than Keith of course, who reiterated common sense facts (VIP is a requirement for the show's survival) that further embarrassed myself knowing he felt he had to address it. The show is SPECTACULAR, and while I sympathize with Keith's position on the awkwardness of requesting monetary support, Keith & Chemda should NEVER feel awkward for doing so, we should feel SHAME for not already contributing. I didn't intend to ruffle any tailfeathers, they've never promised lengthy shows, and I can't imagine the complexity of trying to schedule talented guests (who are also busy creating) in NYC, a big ass city. I just enjoy conversation, commentary, and hilarity, which is what Keith & Chemda offer up in spades on the reg. It's funny how different things affect us differently, many were upset when the Patrice news broke while I was pretty happy, as while I found her funny at times, it often felt like she was talking out her ass when it came to popular media, and the only reason it flew (in my mind) was because Chemda is even more ignorant about pop culture (this is not a bad thing, most of us are too much all consumed by it). Somehow this might be longer than my previous post, so further apologies are offered. p.s. - Whatever happened to Micah Sherman? He was one of my favourite semi-regular guests, and considering his ties to Myq, I've noticed his absence. HUAR guys, and love. |

You should know you're an asshole.
You'll try to write something smarmy to hurt me because you don't know what else to do, but I think you think we're joking or having fun. You're from the McNally school of "apparently somewhere things took a turn and Keith and I aren't close so now I'll be The Enemy." Take a pause and think about it. Then go fuck yourself. |
