we took this country from the English at the tip of a musket. when we set up our new government, right behind the freedom to publicly dissent and worship like we want we placed the freedom to shoot it to hell if it gets out of our hands again.

we were founded on a pile of armament.

as we moved west into uncharted terrain, guns became a necessary and useful tool; to hunt and to protect your land. this movement was justified by, and this is not a lie, God wanted us to: Manifest Destiny.

God and Guns are two of our bedrocks no matter how we feel about them. it gave us reason and means to take what we wanted. it is important to some that the government maintain a healthy fear of The People through our being armed enough to be a threat. we've taken it as a personal mission from the Founding Fathers.

a massive weapon's stockpile under your floorboards isn't seen as crazy hoarding, it's being a patriot.

I managed to make it 2 and half days into my job at a call center. We were soliciting donations for charities and most people were lovely, but I just don't have that huckster salesperson gene you need to get people to commit. I really needed the money, but halfway into my second day I decided I needed to not do this to myself a lot more.

Spider-Man Spider Sense can only sense danger in the immediate area and that is directed at him. He doesn't just "feel" that people are being mugged in Brooklyn or that someone is being stabbed in the Jersey Turnpike.

You're thinking of Superman who can pretty much hear every conversation happening for miles around him, and babies crying and car alarms, and has to actively tune it out so he doesn't go insane/stay out fighting crime for eternity.
And Batman who's insane and put a satelite in space to spy on everyone
