Are you serious? All I am saying is that Keith and Chemda were entertaining before Danny and they will be after Danny. Danny IS the funniest intern in the history of the show and can make the jump from intern/assistant to writer/producer. (It was so frustrating for him to balk at that and say "you really want that"). Personally I hope that he accepts and moves forward and in future is more mature about things that bother him, he currently has a great vehicle to work on his craft and get feedback, a really ideal situation for a comic.

I think that part of Danny's frustration is not only the perceived lack of recognition, but also I think he thinks he can only be so funny so he wants some things for himself. Hopefully he will understand that he just needs to keep exercising that comedy muscle and he will be strong like bull.

I'm curious. Do you think Danny is some alpha male, running around in a suit and tie??? He's Danny Hatch. The 20-something kid from Oklahoma. Possibly writing in from the couch. Probably wearing a Mountain Goats T shirt. He's not some super savvy business person.

Danny was absolutely put on the spot, on the show, talking serious job changes. The natural, (and mature) thing to do is think about it.

What I'm saying is: Don't Harsh the Hatch

I guess you missed the part where I said that he was the best intern and could make the leap to writer. If he was ready to be writer then he would have accepted it, so his hesitation doesn't show maturity, it shows he isn't ready and doubts himself. Expressing that is not HARSHING the HATCH. My frustration bears witness to that, in short my frustration was from him not making the leap and I wanted him to grab the opportunity because I want him to be successful.

bullshit. that was some excellent self care. taking a few days to think through how he might want to take the next few steps of his career is exactly an ok thing to do. you're confusing haste for confidence.

/your/ frustration counts for dick. that opportunity didn't get taken off the table when they went off air.

No I'm not, remember he was offered the writers title the DAY BEFORE. He already had chance to think about it. I'm simply stating if he was bothered so much about the credit and was prepared he would have accepted the new position without having to think about it, because the thinking would already have been done

Finally, I HOPE it is some self care going on and he's not cutting the crap out of himself.

Look. I invented the phrase. So I think I know it's definition.

You sir, are most certainly Harshing the Hatch. You can either take a second, (as previously stated, the most prudent, MATURE thing to do) and think. Try and reign in all that harsh-iness. Or continue with your anti-Danny postings.

He had one day to think and then got into another heated discussion/argument with his friend-boss, and the decision he had to think about not only affects his comedy career but his relationship with Keith. There's alot more there to think about than just what they call him
