I don't know how anyone was supposed to get this from the Sopranos episode, but supposedly the "dream" scenes were not just dreams. They were supposed to represent Tony in purgatory. There were very subtle hints, like a beacon of light on one end of the town he is in and a forrest fire raging on the other end (heaven vs. hell, Tony stuck in the middle), that tv commercial in the bar that said something about sin, the Alzheimer's diagnosis (representing eternal damnation) and his reluctance to call his wife (end of episode, he picks up the phone but then puts it down again) is supposed to show how Tony doesn't want to admit to Carmella that she was right when she said a while ago that he would go to hell for his sins.

How the fuck anyone was supposed to get this out of the episide, I'll never know. The only reason I even know this now is from reading an article by a guy who was told this stuff by one of the show's creators.

And this is all supposed to lead into the rest of the season in which Tony has some sort of moral struggle with his life of sin and crime.

Just remembered another thing from when I was in high school, "Brumski" where I grew up was when you stuck your face between a girls tits and shook them back and forth slapping you in along the side of the cheeks while yelling "Brumski"
