When anyone, including the President Elect himself, doesn't get why it is that many non-Trump voters won't just pipe down and accept the election result, is that because they're too lacking in mental firepower to remember that Trump himself is the number one POSTER BOY for not accepting election results?

if you don't accept the lawful election results then you don't accept rule of law, so what do you want - a totalitarian government?

Of course don't pipe down, thats a different issue, you need to to influence Trump now and the electorate at the mid-term elections in two years time.

I don't remember what they said about this on the show, but I think it goes back to before election day. Trump was criticized in the media for not saying he would accept the results if he lost. Hillary called that an insult to democracy. It makes no sense for Democrats to say he's not their president after their own nominee said that.

Plus Obama won the electoral college twice. Now it's just the popular vote that matters.

I didn't vote for Trump.

I don't think he really believes in democracy, so it make sense for him to say that.

However if you have no access to power like nearly everyone else, you need democracy if only to peacefully remove Trump from power.

My point is this. By threatening to not accept the election results Trump get what he wants. By acting the same way the general public gets the opposite of what they want - thats all.

That's what this show used to be. Even the old promos for the show were more offensive than anything said here. I don't listen much anymore, but it's a lot different now.

I've been listening for a long time, and going back to the old episodes now can be shocking. I remember listening as a teenager and not being overly fazed by the language or content (even the racist/homophobic rants were more self-aware than shit I was hearing at school). When I went to college and met different kinds of people and generally learned more about the world I eventually stopped listening as I genuinely came to think of both Keith and Chemda as bigots. Imagine my surprise this year coming back into the fold to hear Keith describe himself as "woke".

I appreciate both versions of the show. I guess I have to go through 5 years of missing content to see how we got to where we are today.

I would love to hear Keith and Chemda do a commentary on one of their old episodes.
