You're being silly. Obviously you're talking about how he looked as a nazi vs. how it looks getting punched as a nazi. And, below the surface, he looked real good.

The Nazi wasn't a violent coward and the attacker was, so by comparison the Nazi was "made to look good", that is appear in a favourable light.
