rrrrrrrrrrrrrrright.
Different conversation. Making some/many/most drugs illegal does not mitigate the risk from drug abuse / drug crime. Teaching your kids about responsible v irresponsible drug use, the fact that drug crime is a thing and how to attempt to avoid it, etc, all seem like reasonable ways to mitigate the risks posed by drugs / drug crime.

I live in FL and I'm happy that we'll have medical marijuana and, hopefully someday, recreational.

You had two females telling you how we feel and what our experience is and you are not getting it and ignoring the points you don't want to hear.

But you said you are not condescending so good for you, we are wrong you are right.

I'll jump in my time machine and make Chemda change what you think she said on the show because that is the only point you keep harping on.

I guess I'll go back and re-listen to the show. I'm pretty sure that Keith interjected a couple of times and said basically what I'm saying and what guest was saying: there are things you can do to mitigate risk.

But, on your say-so, I'll re-listen.

50 minutes in Chemda says 'we are all walking around cautious, we are all walking around a very specific way'

Few minutes later Yamaneika says that her friend that got raped by a guy she knew, she trusted, she wouldn't have gotten in the car with him otherwise
But she is didn't tell her girl she was wrong, she just now tells all of us on the podcast

And at 56 minutes Yamaneika says she is making sure she is safe by taking an Uber. So what is it - jump into a strangers car or ask a person you know drive you home?

Just saw this so I remembered I'm talking to the land of the free, it's clearly your individual responsibility to not get sick or raped

I had a have a re-listen to the discussion because at first listen it sounded like a debate on whether women should bother with any safety precautions or not. Then it also sounded like Yamaneika and Chemda weren't arguing at the same place on the mountain as well. Chemda's point about critical hindsight being a slope to victim blaming didn't get addressed (I think this is what she meant? Albeit, in probably too few words in this post).

I was a bit confused because at 58.5min into the show because Chemda equates taking precautions and not taking precautions as having equal effect towards mitigating sexual assault because it's unpredictable.
People in general should have precautions about their safety but obviously we can't peer the future so unpredictable events are going to happen regardless.

Yamaneika seems to feel that based on events in her life and pattern recognition, her view of what's predictable and what's not predictable to her is different. I understand that but if that pattern recognition is based on prior abuse in her life then wtf, how is that an expectation you put on other women.
