I mostly have people denying my ability to possibly be in my profession and then immediately being intimidated. Then the whole getting hired cause I'm attractive then not being valued cause I'm a woman. Nothing special. At the end of the day I'm still black so it can only get me so far lol

The unconscious bias that people have that women can either be pretty or smart is real.

I'm just regular pretty so I'm not out here blowing minds.

That's why I'm not going to place those societal boundaries on women who enjoy pageantry. My stint in highschool modeling my friend and her friend's she's met through pageants prove the whole "they are all dumb" thing false. They have regular jobs and regular lives. And do a pageant every couple months or so. Pageants don't pay bills, you have to just enjoy doing them. And these girls just like getting dressed up and all the girly things involved.

The research is there if you want to look into the negative perceptions of femininity, in both women and men.

No. I thought you were calling all pageant girls stupid because you see a couple clips a year of one saying something stupid. Which is exactly what you are saying.

When I say every couple months, I am talking about the majority of pageant girls. Pageants are expensive.

Miss USA was formerly Miss D.C so she likely did fewer pageants this year than other girls cause she already had a major crown.

I do not consider myself a pageant girl because I did one pageant in 4th grade​.

I also do not see my friend as some weird extension of myself.

My argument is for the blanket statement you made regarding the intelligence of women who do pageants. It's false and it's based in misogyny.

You can't come to an accurate conclusion of thousands of women's intelligence from the 2 minutes a year you pay attention to one fucking up.

If that were an accurate way to assess the intelligence of wide swaths of people little everyone in every profession and every hobby is dumb as rocks. Cause there are dummies everywhere.

There is probably a comedian right now saying some dumb shit in front of a crowd. And probably every night this week. That don't make y'all all dumb.

My vet stay saying some dumb shit about women. But he is a bomb ass vet. And I don't think all vets are dumb.
