Yes. The church affects way more people and is worse.
But don't the players get into football when they are still kids and can't decide on their own what's good or not?
And then they are in it. It's hard to quit.

Complex topic with cigarettes.
When they came up even lots of doctors thought they were fine. Doctors smoked too.
The first study about it was made by some student as an exercise in scientific method and his boss was convinced nothing will come out of it .

I look it up later but I read it in a smart book. Here.

Luckily my parents didn't smoke and we knew it was bad by then.

Cigarettes are a very good example, because I don't think the opinion on them will ever change and we will learn that cigarettes are good for something.

But with food it's more complicated. Of course. Lots of sugar is bad.
Pasta is already more complicated, Chemda. Lots of carbs, but also some protein. ( 5 g.)
And gluten isn't bad for everyone.
And how bad a food idem is for you depends on your lifestyle. For people who work on the fields all day it's not so harmful to eat carbs. For people who sit all day, it's worse.

I'm very educated about nutrition, but sometimes all the facts are too much. Opinions change. I'm sometimes confused if my facts are already old news, when I hear about the new " high carb diet" .
I thought high carb is bad. Not anymore maybe. Now I have to read this up.

Edit:
It seems that the new HCLF is vegan and is supposed to be solution to all our problems.
I think we heard it before.

Especially in small amounts. A scoop of ice cream is not garbage, it's a desert, but you shouldn't ONLY eat ice cream of course.

It might. When they can cure all disease and we're living a thousand years, ciggies might become cool again and good for the image.

Athough Mr M's sincere certainty about everything can be alarming, it's clear that the difference between the church and the NFL is that the church's 'it' is what the church is for, and the NFL's 'it' is not what it's for.

Call me stubborn but I don't see cigarettes curing anything ever.
