When I see Doritos ads, I assume people are actors. When I see PSAs I think the people featured might actually be real. A lot of the times they are.

Can you imagine having an ex-boyfriend message you and ask when you got AIDS and if they need to be tested? Those goes way beyond impacting her professional career, it can really damage her personal life. Yeah, we shouldn't stigmatize people with AIDS. But we don't end the stigma by making models become the face of AIDS when they don't have it.
