Asking silly questions like why doesn't Superman's cum kill Lois is the kind of thing real nerds do in our spare time, so I'm just glad the Keith is really one of us.

Cap Marvel got her powers from alien technology; she learned to control and increase them by believing in herself. It's a pretty common beat in all these hero stories. Clark sees his ghost dad who tells him to try harder and suddenly he's faster and stronger, Peter remembers Uncle Ben and the same thing happens.
For what it's worth I also thought this movie was kinda boring and lacking. Thank God for Aquaman and WW

so, i went to Orlando to see the live show, but also to hang out my lovely friend Cat. after she dropped me off at my hotel, instead of going home, she hopped on an empty shuttle with no credentials and ended up at the PME afterparty where she was thrown on stage and crushed it like the belle of the ball she is. she’s now super BFF’s with her own podcasting host heroes of Optimal Living Daily.

*Pushes back nerd glasses* Actually, in the MCU Captain marvel got her superpowers from alien technology developed using the space stone exploding near her. So her powers come from galactic magic objects, not space technology. Just like the scarlet witch. Also, she got super strong at the end because she ripped the device out of her back the aliens had put in to dampen her powers. But also cause she believed in herself. But thr believing in herself was more to overcome than the alien mind control technology.

DUMB SPOILERS:

She knew she fell down a lot in life, but when she remembered that each time she ended up getting up, she knew she was somehow capable of removing the restraints of her powers. GO WOMEN!

And it's the same way she took off her hand guards earlier. She just... did it.

A lesson for us all.

Wash your mouth with soap, Captain Marvel is the best marvel movie since Guardians of the Galaxy. Cause Tony Stark isn't in it.
