Yeah, I used to order meat well done, but I also used to think I hated steaks when it turns out I only ever had really terrible steaks. They aren't supposed to be tough and bouncy like a hockey puck. Who knew?
Edit: You probably aren't going to change a "well done" person's mind just by giving them hell about it. My husband was a genius by first making me some fucking amazing, tender grilled steak for tacos and that convinced me to try more and now I'm a full on medium rare girl. Whenever I talk about crying in a movie I'm talking about the crying Christian mentioned. I tear up and sniffle and let the tears flow as my heart melts
I dunno why people (dudes) try to differentiate between that and like sobbing so uncontrollably you hyperventilate. I haven't had that kind of latter cry since i was beat or beat up as a kid. I'm not holding it back or forcing myself to stop. I don't really see the difference. Last edited by FingerLakes; 03-27-2019 at 09:24 AM. |

Re: the poll
I used to order stuff well done until i was shamed by my friend and his family and Keith complaining about people who would order well done when he was a waiter. I can do medium but can't bring myself to do full rare. I've tasted rare, didn't seem worth it

Curious if anyone else is blocked by Christian Finnegan on twitter - I'm, like, 2 accounts away from the one where I might have tweeted something annoying at him.

Did Christian say you can get a steak at a steak house in NYC for 35 bucks?! Excuse me, I have to go book a cheap steak vacation to NY. A steak at a steak house here will set you back a cool 50 at least and that baked potato will be another $10.
Also.. medium AT MOST and that goes for anything except poultry. What are you well done people up to? Last edited by punk'n; 03-27-2019 at 12:52 PM. |

I caught the second half of this on YouTube and it was delightful to see Chemda and Christian giggle their way through the episode.
I can't wait to be in NYC to see the magic live on stage! |
