Hey welcome to forums! It’s more fun when lurkers start posting!!!

I think if you re-listen to Keith’s dad email, you’ll see that FM is totally oblivious. He’s also incredibly full of it. Sometimes when you encounter something that makes - absolutely no sense - you try and make sense of it. IE FM actually knows there’s something off about these No Cat emails. So now he’s messing with Keith.

This is a mistake. I feel like Chemda nailed it. FM is totally insane and there’s no way Keith, nor a an educated brain scholar, could make sense of it.

You're totally right, trying to make sense of FM's emails is like trying to spot shapes in the clouds. The deluded, self-aggrandizing, sexually-repressed clouds. I squinted hard enough and thought I saw something that made sense for a second.

At this point, are we even sure he was ever a priest? Maybe that was the big lie and why all his stories are falling apart, because he's forgotten the details? I could see it being the case that he was in seminary but didn't have what it takes, and then all that dogmatic energy went into his family and weird morals. Like all the abuse disguised as morality/religion is him overcompensating for his failure.

I WAS THINKING THIS SAME THING - he only met his wife because he was a priest blessing her home though, correct? Because through all of this I just thought .... he wasn't a priest, this didn't happen.

I honestly doubt he was an actual legit confirmed & ordained catholic priest. i don't think he was.
