I'm trying not to be the guy who throws someone out as soon as we don't 100% agree on something.

I was loving his approach to the way he stays present in life, the positivity and stuff is all there, but the way he specifically said that his protest was to police brutality and not to BLM because he doesn't know enough - that just rubbed me the wrong way. It felt like he was seconds away from saying "All lives matter", but didn't because he knows people get yelled at for it.

What's not to get. You're purposefully not looking up information and saying "But what can I do, I don't know enough!" It's not rocket science, to try and separate racism from police issues is the kind of hair splitting and Devils advocating I'm not here for.

Am I the only one that sensed that vibe or am I projecting and being hyper reactionary.

Also, re: 30 Rock
It's like the universe said to me "You should watch 30 Rock right now" because I Just saw all the blackface clips over the past few weeks. Every time it makes me guffaw with "Holy shit they went there!" Energy. With a show like that, once you start removing one thing, what about Tracey Morgan being Black Hitler going to a restaurant?

I agree that they took a risk and it didn't bite them in the ass too hard until now. Do we go back and get rid of every sketch comedy show (Mad TV - Ms Swan) or.. Any of the gender okay in In Living Color - Just say "going forward, no black face!"

Yeah, my white ass didn't get an "all lives matter" vibe from him, but I wished he'd gone more into it too.

yeah i had a gut reactionary dislike after his stally answers of "I dunno...there's too much going on in BLM. I don't know." It seemed so stand off ish. But yeah it certainly didn't seem to be assholey. I dunno. Maybe if he's on again and that isn't a topic I can be fully into him
