Rod, don't be so hard on yourself. Comparing yourself to Karen is a high bar. I mean she is SOOOooo likable. I like Karen better than you, Keith or myself combined. But you are right about football. The Steelers are not winning the super bowl this year just like the Lions aren't going to win. Keith obviously agrees or he would have bet on them winning at the beginning of the year, he conveniently 'forgot' to place his bet but, I think he knew they would loose.

Really though the Lions and Steelers could be the same team at this point neither will have a chance to loose or win in the super bowl. Sad really. I have hope for the Lions next year though.

In regards to people hesitating to reporting violent family members, I think they only doubt they will because they don't see that person as planning and seeking out violence in advance. They might show up, but if stuff happens they would not participate. If they did participate, that would be surprising and then they might want to report them.

I found out my mother was at the DC rally, but she does not seem to be a part of the Capital riot. So I've been weighing if reporting her to the police would do anything. Part of the reason I don't think it would is I don't have evidence she was part of the riot and it doesn't sound like she would have been. She made a FB posts about antifa or BLM being responsible for it.

Part of the reason I was thinking I should report her is that I do believe she is capable of violence. But her violence isn't pre-meditated or seeking it out. In her mind, she's a hero that will only kill in self defense or protection. So there isn't evidence she is planning harm and I also don't personally believe she will show up someplace planning to attack people. I think she will be at another rally, possible at our state rather than DC this time, to protest "the steal" and carrying her legal gun. She would be ready to use it if she thinks she or someone else is being attacked.

I don't think the police can stop her based off of that. It's what happens after arriving at the rally that that I worry about. She is mentally prepared to die for what she thinks is right and she doesn't trust the government(just Trump. She's no longer a Republican, she identifies as a Trump Patriot). If someone starts shooting, I can see her shooting someone, getting shot, or intervening and being arrested or hurt. She is also older and not exactly fit, and it's also likely she could be trampled to death like that one woman.

Unless someone else can inform me of another possibility, I think I'm just standing by and going to have to look at photos to report her if she does choose to do wrong.
