And yes, I am a published author. If you read books in my field you will have most likely read something that cites my work.

The whole books with no pictures is not a very smart statement to make. Most Non-Fiction smart books / papers on things like epidemiology (one of your stated areas of expertise) have a lot of pictures of cell structures etc. Frankly this is disappointing statement to read even from you.

Good point. In technical books you often have to consult the Index of Pictures to find the picture you want. Definitely not illustrations or diagrams, pictures definitely is what they are called. 100% would agree pictures have colloquial association with technical textbooks and not with coloring books. Very good point.

Circling back to vezione point about right wing views and domestic terrorism. I did read in the economist that the association had a large uptick in the past 5 years. It is now according to their analysis up over something like 18% of domestic terrorists hold right wing views...so there is that. But that falls flat on its face when trying to say that right wing views are somehow causal, as I believe was the claim.
